the downpour made me feel nostalgic today. seems like everything is flashing right in front of me.
i remmberd once, the dormies were stranded because of a sudden storm that hit manila one morning. we learned that classes are suspended at around 5am through forwarded text msgs frm the SC. we could not go out, dont hv enough supply of food and water, and no fastfood chain would accept delivery orders then. nice huh? because we are left with no choice [and we were really hungry], we battled against the stormy weather and the gushing winds in our jackets and pj's; went over to mcdonald's [imagine, from EGI to mcdo??] and dined in the deserted resto. it's such a blissful memory nonetheless... at least i got stranded with my most favorite people in the world. with them, boredom is just a theory. it's like, you can think that boredom is real, but actually it isn't; if and only if, you are with these people. hehe [yea, mark suntay gave me this idea. in his version, he considers sleep as a theory among comm arts students.how? ahaha! go figure!]
i soooo love the rain. this time, i get to spend the rainy May with my beloved friends at Yuchengco lobby while chatting, gossiping and ranting. of course, we also enjoyed the mangoes and cream from java cafe. it's so delectable.
at last, the heatwave has gone adios. bye bye summer!!!!

nang makalanghap ng sariwang hagin
at last, i got a chance to break free from the 4 corners of our house! thanks to the little errand i did, i had the opportunity to stroll around my village.
i sat outside my lolo's gate and had a chat with my tita. after a minute or two, a friend of hers passed by and acknowledged us. she's a palm reader so my tita asked her if she could read my fortune for free. she held my palm, examined my palm lines and these were the things she told me:
"hindi makakaipon to, gastadora kasi" - TRUE. as of the moment, i only have Php800 worth of savings. madadagdagan pa yon noh! bakit ba! naguumpisa pa lang ako!
"swerte to sa business, may 'supot' kasi cya sa kamay" - supot? sana TRUE. im considering the idea of venturing to the business scene in the near future.
"pagdating nya ng 40's, magiging well-known to." - my eyes widened. TALAGUH?? sana TRUE ulit. i want to be just like my father. i want to make a name for myself, be famous because im regarded as an expert in my craft.
what a way to boost my dreams! however, i have never forgotten that i am still the captain of my ship and everything depends on how i turn the wheel. it's just that im a bit flattered with her predictions. i've always kept in mind the point of the philosophic phrase: existence precedes essence, yet, i never closed my doors to the possibility that predictions CAN actually be true. still, like i've said, it would greatly depend on how you make your own fortunes.
so, the claims hold a 50-50 chance of happening.
good luck to all of us in our endeavours.

some updates on the elections. and some realizations as well.
- there has been a ballot box snatching.
- i know manny pacquiao is running for office but what i ddnt know is that he's aiming for the congress! omaygad! i still am optimistic that south cotabato is not that ignorant to spare this legislative position to some boxing champion. it's not that im belittling his capabilities [that is, if he has any] but i believe that one should have an experience before assuming a position such as a provincial representative.
- what a star-studded election. batangas got vilma santos running for congress while laguna has dan fernandez contending for governor and emilio garcia as a board member candidate for the 1st distrct. the senatorial slate has richard gomez, cesar montano and even VICTOR WOOD. nice huh?
- it was reported earlier in 24 Oras that some precincts ddnt know what to do with ballots that only have "Cayetano" written on it [there are 2 Cayetanos running for senator]. haha, too stupid.
- one way or another, politics is considered to be dirty.
- we can never ever have an absolute election.
fed-up. tsk!

ehem ehem. mic test. 123.
uhuh. this post is ought to be crappy. again.
tracy called, she wants us to meet at Alabang Town Center because the boredom's striking again. she's bored, im lazy. i could not even drag my feet to the shower; how could she expect me to go to Alabang? one more thing, my mom's bugging me to go with them to the movies. AYOKO. uhuh, sorry trace.. tamad n tamad ako. not unless you would volunteer to bathe me and dress me up and be my financier for the entire day. thanks nga pala for treating me yesterday. aylabyu. promise, sunday. i'll go over to your place! let'ssss parteeeeeeh!
at dahil malapit na ang eleksyon, ang mga kandidato ay nangangatog na. ahaha! too bad, my senatorial ticket isn't complete yet. oh well, at least i have the slate in mind. but just to give a glimpse to ol ye readers out there [pretending i have any] on my candidates, i won't dwell much on team unity's ticket. my candidates would mostly come from G.O., so to reinforce my stance of opposing the current administration.
yea, just like my claim during my interview in Ateneo Law School - "we've already had too much of Gloria. of course, if she is to run for office again, [can she?] i will not [stress on the word NOT] vote for her. anybody is better off than her! [and the interviewer chuckled at my oh-so-rebellious stance.]
and to follow-up,
"who do you think is more capable of assuming her office then?"
"I gave it some thought, Chiz Escudero is very promising. I've seen his debate with Mike Defensor on TV. He was very impressive and the way he presented his thoughts is simply outstanding." [the interviewer interrupted me..]
"so Chiz would be your candidate?"
"yes, if ever he will run for the highest office on the land, sure, i will support him. he has a lot of potentials."
and the interviewer nodded - i dont know if that meant affirming my stance or his way of saying "oo na, tama na, oposisyon ka na."
of course i was accepted in Ateneo.
i just wish more senatorial seats will be given to Genuine Opposition candidates. basta ayokong sila ung mas onti sa upper house. that would really suck.
the passage of the president's legislative programs will be a lot easier if Team Unity would be dominant in the Upper House.. along with this, it could also give the president an assurance of not being impeached [oh well, more or less]. would you let that happen? haven't you had enough of our government's corruption and deception?
A WISE VOTE EVERYONE. PLEASE.
